Photographing Bees with the Canon R7

The useful part was waiting
The camera settings mattered, but not as much as watching which flowers the bees returned to. Once I stopped chasing every movement and chose a single patch of scabious, the photographs became calmer.
The R7’s subject detection helped, though close-up work still rewarded a smaller focus area and a little patience. I kept the shutter speed high, accepted the extra ISO and watched the background as carefully as the bee.
